SANTIAGO DE CHILE
Founded in 1541, Santiago is the oldest city of Chile and since 1810 it is the capital city of the country. The architectural style combines history with modern buildings and the city has the best urban facilities and also hosts some of the main civic headquarters of the country, such as the Palacio de La Moneda, the Chilean government office.

Climate in Santiago
Santiago is located between the Andes Mountain Range, which holds up de continental weather conditions, and the Coast Mountain Range, which prevents access of the marine climate.
Santiago experiences a Mediterranean-like climate with mild temperatures, generally dry and temperate in summer and predominantly winter rainfall.
The seasons are well defined: the months of May through September are cold with temperatures of 8 ºC / 46 ºF on average, and the months of October through April are warmer with temperatures that can go up to 32 °C / 90 ºF.
